Vienna Circa 1780: An Imperial Silver Service Rediscovered
Friday, September 3, 11:00 a.m.
Guest lecturer Tamara Schechter discusses the Sachsen-Teschen Silver Service, totaling more than three hundred items, which represents the splendor of princely dining during the ancien régime and embodies Viennese Neoclassical style.

Tutankhamun's Funeral
Saturday, September 4, 7:00 p.m.
Guest lecturer Phyllis Saretta discusses the exhibition Tutankhamun's Funeral, which explores ritual objects and embalming materials associated with the burial of the "boy-king" Tutankhamun (reign ca. 1336–1327 B.C.). Related objects and early twentieth-century archival photographs by Harry Burton, the Museum's expedition photographer, provide an evocative background.

Between Here and There: Passages in Contemporary Photography
Wednesday, September 8, 11:00 a.m.
Guest lecturer Marian Cohen examines themes of dislocation and displacement in the medium of photography since 1960.

Epic India: Scenes from the Ramayana
Thursday, September 9, 11:00 a.m.
The Ramayana, a classic of early Indian literature, is infused with mythology and the legendary exploits of the gods, particularly Lord Vishnu in his earthly appearance as the divine-king Rama. Guest lecturer Rebecca Arkenberg discusses the mythology of Rama, who provides the subject matter for an important genre of Indian paintings featured in the exhibition.
